In the role of Custom Software Engineering Lead, a typical day involves overseeing the technical direction and architectural design of custom software solutions. This includes guiding teams through the entire development lifecycle, from initial design concepts to final delivery. The role requires ensuring that development standards are maintained, and that the software produced meets expectations for quality, scalability, and performance. Collaboration with various stakeholders to align technical efforts with business goals is a key aspect, along with continuous monitoring and refinement of processes to support successful project outcomes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the establishment and enforcement of development standards to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination among cross-functional teams to drive project success.
- Mentor and support junior team members to foster professional growth and skill development.
- Continuously evaluate and improve software architecture to enhance system scalability and performance.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP ABAP Development for HANA.
- Experience with SAP ABAP programming techniques including modularization, performance tuning, and debugging.
- Strong knowledge of HANA database concepts and integration with ABAP applications.
- Ability to design and implement scalable and maintainable custom software solutions within SAP environments.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle methodologies and best practices in code quality assurance.
- Competence in collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP Development for HANA.
- This position is based at our HDC4 - SEZ location.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
