Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by investigating and resolving issues that arise within various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to monitoring system performance, diagnosing problems, and ensuring the smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands collaboration with different teams to maintain system stability and deliver timely solutions that support business continuity and efficiency.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Expected to provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to identify root causes of complex system issues and implement effective resolutions.
- Coordinate cross-functional communication to ensure alignment and timely problem-solving.
- Mentor junior team members to enhance their technical skills and support their professional growth.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Red Hat OS Administration, Linux Operations.
- Strong knowledge of system monitoring and troubleshooting techniques within Red Hat environments.
- Experience managing and maintaining server infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
- Ability to automate routine tasks using scripting languages to improve operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with security best practices and patch management in Red Hat operating systems.
- Capability to analyze system logs and metrics to proactively identify potential issues.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7 years of experience in Red Hat OS Administration.
- This position is based at our BDC7A - SEZ office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
