Project Role Description : Design, implement and maintain databases. Install database management systems (DMBS). Develop procedures for day-to-day maintenance and problem resolution.

Summary:
As a Database Administrator, a typical day involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust database systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The role includes installing database management systems and developing comprehensive procedures to support daily maintenance activities and resolve any issues that arise. This position requires continuous monitoring and fine-tuning of databases to meet organizational needs, while collaborating with various teams to support data integrity and availability across projects.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Expected to provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to optimize database performance and ensure high availability.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align database strategies with business goals.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and development.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Apache Cassandra.
- Experience in database design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of database management systems installation and configuration.
- Ability to develop and document procedures for routine database maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with performance tuning and optimization techniques for large-scale databases.
- Experience in backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning for database environments.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 12 years of experience in Apache Cassandra.
- This position is based at our Hyderabad office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
