As a Data Migration Engineer, a typical day involves managing the entire data migration process by carefully extracting data from source systems, transforming it according to specific requirements, and loading it into the target environment. This role requires building and executing migration scripts, continuously monitoring the process, and validating the results to ensure accuracy and consistency. The position demands close attention to detail and coordination with various teams to maintain data integrity throughout the migration lifecycle, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to business operations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and migration objectives.
- Document migration processes and maintain clear records of data transformations and validations.
- Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support during migration activities.
- Continuously monitor and troubleshoot migration workflows to identify and resolve issues promptly.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Data Analytics.
- Strong knowledge of data extraction, transformation, and loading techniques.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools to build and execute migration processes.
- Ability to validate data quality and consistency through rigorous testing and verification.
- Familiarity with database systems and data management best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address challenges during data migration.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in Data Analytics.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
