Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing and developing tailored software components that integrate seamlessly within larger systems or applications. The role requires continuous collaboration with various stakeholders to understand evolving business requirements and translate them into effective software solutions. The engineer actively participates in iterative development cycles, ensuring that the software is scalable, efficient, and aligned with organizational goals. Problem-solving and innovation are key aspects, as the engineer refines existing functionalities and contributes to the overall enhancement of the software ecosystem through modern development methodologies and frameworks.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the coordination of project activities to ensure timely delivery of software components.
- Mentor junior team members to foster skill development and knowledge sharing.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to align project objectives.
- Continuously evaluate and improve development processes to enhance team productivity and software quality.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in ServiceNow IT Service Management.
- Experience in customizing and configuring ServiceNow modules to meet business requirements.
- Strong understanding of IT service management processes and best practices.
- Ability to design and implement workflows, business rules, and integrations within the ServiceNow platform.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as JavaScript to extend platform capabilities.
- Experience with REST and SOAP web services for system integrations.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in ServiceNow IT Service Management.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
