Summary:
As a Solution Architect, a typical day involves interpreting client needs and transforming them into unique and actionable solutions. This role requires close collaboration with sales and delivery teams to craft strategies that not only meet client expectations but also support the overall business objectives. The position demands continuous engagement with various stakeholders to ensure the proposed solutions are practical, competitive, and aligned with the client s value proposition. The Solution Architect plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between client requirements and technical execution, ensuring seamless integration and delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Facilitate alignment between business and IT, and across the democratized IT landscape.
- Engage business and IT stakeholders, building and maintaining relationships.
- Adapt to changing business and operating models.
- Analyze trends and disruptions, and assess their impact on targeted business outcomes.
- Tell stories to visualize the future state and trigger long-term planning.
- Support various operating models such as project-centric and product-centric.
- Communicate the value of enterprise architecture, and its portfolio of services.
- Drive the evolution of the EA teams services and operating model.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Master s or Bachelor s degree computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience.
- 12+ or more years of business experience in strategic and operations planning and/or business analysis or experience as an enterprise architecture consultant.
- 4 or more years of experience in at least two disciplines, such as business, information, solution or technical architecture, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management or operations in a multitier environment.
- Experience in Java development, Core Java, J2EE.
- Knowledge of various insurance domains such as Life, Health, Property & Casualty.
- Hands-on experience of insurance platforms like Guidewire and familiarity with the ACORD model.
- Familiarity with concepts such as Straight Through Processing (STP), Customer 360, and Account 360.
- Understanding of core insurance systems such as Policy Administration, Claims, Underwriting, and Rating.
- Awareness of insurance industry operations, regulatory requirements, best practices, and standards.
- Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT, data and predictive analytics.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools, related graphical models, and frameworks.
- Insight into information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks.
- Understanding of various operating models such as project-centric and product-centric and also different types of agile principles, methodologies and frameworks, especially those designed to be scaled at the enterprise level.
- Awareness of existing, new and emerging technologies, and processing environments.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 12 years of experience in Solution Architecture.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
