Summary:
As a Database Administrator, a typical day involves designing, implementing, and maintaining databases to ensure their optimal performance and reliability. The role includes installing database management systems and developing procedures that support daily maintenance activities and effective problem resolution. This position requires continuous monitoring and fine-tuning of database environments to support organizational needs and ensure data integrity and availability across various applications and services.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Oversee the implementation of best practices for database security and backup strategies.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to align database architecture with business requirements.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and skill development.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
- Experience in database performance tuning and optimization.
- Strong knowledge of backup and recovery techniques.
- Familiarity with database security management and compliance standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues efficiently.
- Experience with automation of routine database tasks and scripting.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
- This position is based at our Bhubaneswar office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
