Summary:
The individual will be responsible for increasing the level of communication, project management, governance, and overall delivery to the group where firm background in the securities wholesale and/or retail business will be appropriately valued. The individual will have a breadth of responsibilities, among them:
Liaise with internal customers and stakeholders to capture infrastructure requirements
Effectively position Nomura s infrastructure services and capabilities to internal customers
Act as project manager for specific domestic, regional projects for the group
Manage project scope, schedule, budget, communications, risks and issues
Track project timelines and deliverables create status reports
Manage project resources and stakeholders across IT Infrastructure, application teams and businesses
Liaise with Nomura technical teams and stakeholders on Infrastructure related work efforts
Create communication documents of Infrastructure activities for the technology group
Establish steering committees as needed for projects, chair regular update meetings
Roles & Responsibilities:
Mandatory skills:
-15+ Years in Project Management roles
-Ability to communicate and collaborate with senior management (including SMD, Board members etc.)
-High efficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow
-Organized, able to evaluate and manage priorities, able to handle an ever-changing environment
-Business level English (written and verbal)
-Proactive and strong sense of ownership to see tasks through completion
-Logical, analytical and pragmatic thinking to deliver value added solutions to the business
-Experience working as a part of or with global teams
Preferred skills:
Infrastructure Project Management related background: Datacenter, Networks, Storage , Virtualization, Desktop, Mobile, Messaging, Cloud, Experience working in a financial services organization Experience & Knowledge: Platform Operations, Service Operations, IT Security , ITIL Certification
Role / Principal Accountabilities:
Lead the co-ordination of Datacentre isolation testing preparation, operation and post isolation follow up
Develop comprehensive project plan, timelines, and resource allocation strategies
Act as co-ordinator between cross-functional teams including IT Infrastructure, Compliance, Risk management, and IT BU Application teams for all related activities
Ensure all testing activities align with PRA Operational Resilience requirements and guidelines.
Maintain detailed documentation and evidence for regulatory reporting and audit purpose.
Work with stakeholders to plan and execute the recovery testing of applications
Provide and track requirements for automation and process enhancement teams Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
Technical knowledge of IT Infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage & virtualization
Proactive Project Management skills with 5+ years of project management experience in financial services or regulated industries
Understanding of security principles
Appreciation of disaster recovery principles and familiarity on operational resilience framework and testing methodologies
Capacity planning exposure
Plan and manage recovery test schedules
Senior stakeholder management with board-level presentation skills, providing executive summary
Setup and maintain application recovery profiles
Develop and Maintain knowledgebase including Best Practice & Support Information
Design and Support training plans to help build internal SME knowledge Nice to have
Power BI report creation experience
ServiceNow integration experience
Cutover exposure
Runbook design experience
