Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Python Data Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong hands on experience with Python, SQL, and AWS services. Exposure to Informatica ETL tools is a good to have and will be an added advantage. The role involves close collaboration with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable, high quality data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL workflows using Python
Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting
Build and manage cloud based data solutions using AWS services such as S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda, and Redshift (as applicable)
Perform data validation, quality checks, and performance tuning to ensure reliable data delivery
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Support data migration initiatives from on premise systems to AWS cloud
Monitor and troubleshoot production data jobs and resolve issues in a timely manner
Document data flows, technical designs, and operational procedures
Follow best practices related to data security, governance, and compliance
Required Skills
Strong hands on experience with Python for data processing and automation
Strong proficiency in SQL (query writing, optimization, performance tuning)
Hands on experience with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda, Redshift, etc.)
Experience working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
Understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and data modelling
Experience with version control tools such as Git
Good problem solving and analytical skills
Good to Have Skills
Experience with Informatica (PowerCenter / IICS) or similar ETL tools
Exposure to cloud data migration projects
Knowledge of Unix/Linux and shell scripting
Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models
