Summary:
The Hexagon SDx Configuration Consultant is responsible for the implementation, configuration, and integration of Smart Plant Foundation (SPF) and SDx solutions to support Engineering Information Management (IM), Data Management, and Document Control processes across EPC and Owner-Operator projects. The role ensures that SDx configuration activities are executed as per Functional Design Specifications (FDS), system integrations are delivered accurately, and high-quality engineering data is maintained throughout the project lifecycle. The consultant will act as a technical expert in schema modeling, tool integration, data validation, and lifecycle/workflow configuration to ensure seamless digital handover and operational readiness.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform SDx configuration activities as per approved Functional Design Specifications (FDS).
- Responsible for technical configuration of SPF/SPO environments, including schema-oriented methodology.
- Configure client class libraries, project configurations, sites, user roles, and access permissions.
- Perform publish/retrieve mapping for all integrated tools and monitor publish queues.
- Resolve schema and mapping errors manage SDV mappings to exchange data between SPF and SDx.
- Create and maintain SQL databases for SDx perform bulk/master data loading.
- Configure document lifecycle management and workflow (including change management processes and email notifications).
- Setup SDx admin configurations such as methods, column sets, column items, and Excel publish templates.
- Generate data validation reports, KPI/quality reports, and specialty reports as per project requirements.
- Support SDx–SAP integrations including API configuration and data exchange mechanisms.
- Support version upgrades, cloud migrations, and data migration from on-premises to cloud environments.
- Implement Digital Twin and Operational Engineering solutions leveraging SDx as a single source of truth.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Experience with SDV configuration, ENS activities, data correction, and validation.
- Proficiency in SQL Server/Oracle for database creation, maintenance, querying, and performance tuning.
- Experience in API configuration, Web Services, and IIS setup for integrations.
- Knowledge of data migration tools, bulk loading utilities, and master data handling.
- Familiarity with SDx–SAP integration and cloud migration strategies.
- Experience in version upgrades (e.g., SPF/SDV platform upgrades).
- Strong understanding of document management and document control processes.
- Experience in Excel Publish schema and template creation for SDx.
- Perform schema modeling and mapping in SDx including: Authoring Schema,
Published Schema, Graph Definition, View Definition, Adapter Tool Map Schema, CMF merging with Integration Schema
-Experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) and Owner-Operator project environments.
- Strong knowledge of engineering tag identification, classification, and parametric attributes.
- Experience in Digital Twin implementations and lifecycle information management.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and coordinate with multi-disciplinary engineering stakeholders.
- Exposure to FEED and Detailed Engineering project phases.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in SPF/SDx implementation, configuration, and support.
- This position is based at our Hyderabad office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
