Summary:
The Smart Plant Foundation / SDx Consultant is a senior level subject matter expert responsible for supporting and leading analysis, solution design, build/configuration, and system integration testing (SIT) of Hexagon SDx applications. The role ensures effective implementation of information management solutions by integrating engineering data, documents, and systems, while enabling high quality data delivery
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide senior level support across analysis, design, build, and system integration testing (SIT) phases of SDx implementations.
- Lead and contribute to the preparation of Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS) and Functional Design Specifications (FDS).
- Support end to end SDx implementation lifecycle, including project setup, configuration, integration, testing, and handover.
- Configure and integrate Smart Plant Foundation (SPF) with Hexagon SDx and engineering authoring tools.
- Ensure seamless publish/retrieve and SDV based integrations between SDx/SPF and engineering tools (SPPID, SPI, SPEL, SP3D).
- Own and support system integration testing (SIT) activities, including test planning, test execution support, defect analysis, and functional sign off.
- Validate engineering tag and document data for completeness, consistency, and correctness.
- Ensure alignment between tag registers and document metadata across systems.
- Support schema modelling and mapping activities in SDx, including authoring, published, graph, view, and integration schemas.
- Configure document lifecycle management, workflows, and change management processes.
- Enable O&M data readiness by structuring project data as asset information.
- Monitors publish queues, identify schema/mapping issues, and support resolution.
- Collaborate with EPCs, engineering teams, IT, and client stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in Smart Plant Foundation (SPF), Smart Plant Enterprise for Owner Operators (SPO), and Hexagon SDx.
- Proven experience supporting analysis, design, build, and SIT of SDx applications.
- Advanced knowledge of schema modelling and configuration, including:
- Class, Interface, Property, Relationship, and View definitions
- Authoring, Published, and Integration schemas
- Adapter Tool Map schemas and CMF integration
- Hands on experience integrating Smart Plant Foundation (SPF) with:
- Smart Plant P&ID (SPPID)
- Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI)
- Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL)
- Smart 3D (SP3D)
- Strong experience with publish/retrieve mappings and SDV configurations.
- Expertise in document management and document control, including workflows, transmittals, and vault management.
- Solid understanding of engineering equipment data, tag identification, classification, and parametric attributes.
- Proficiency in SQL / MS SQL / Oracle databases for data validation, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.
- Experience with SDx–SAP PM integration, SDx API configuration, and enterprise system interoperability.
- Ability to design and support reports, dashboards, KPI, and data validation outputs.
- Strong analytical and solution design capability.
- Ability to work independently on complex SDx/SPF implementations.
- Effective stakeholder engagement with engineering, IT, EPCs, and client teams.
- Ability to translate business and engineering requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Strong governance mindset with focus on data quality, compliance, and standards.
- Experience working across multi discipline engineering and EPC environments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines.

- The candidate should have minimum 12 - 15 years of experience in Hexagon Intergraph SmartPlant.
- This position is based at our Hyderabad office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
