Job Description: Senior Analyst – Databricks Unity Catalog

**Role Overview**
The Senior Analyst will support enterprise data management initiatives by ensuring data integrity, compliance, and governance across **Azure Databricks environments**. This role focuses on operational excellence, troubleshooting, and enabling business teams with secure, high-quality data.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support data provisioning and workspace setup in **Azure Databricks**, ensuring compliance with enterprise policies.
- Create and manage Python notebooks, implement data masking, and develop UDFs (SQL/Python).
- Troubleshoot data pipelines and ensure data quality across ETL processes.
- Design and maintain data models and schemas aligned with Unity Catalog and governance practices.
- Monitor performance, identify delays, and recommend optimizations for data pipelines.
- Ensure compliance with data security regulations using Databricks and Privacera features.
- Document metadata, lineage, and governance standards for enterprise data assets.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business analysts to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Provide reporting and insights on SLA adherence, pipeline performance, and governance metrics.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**
- **5–8 years of overall IT/data experience**, with at least **3+ years of hands-on experience in Azure Databricks**.
- Proficiency in **SQL and Python** for data analysis, troubleshooting, and automation.
- Familiarity with Unity Catalog, Privacera, and Collibra for governance and compliance.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes, data modeling, and schema design.
- Experience with **Azure infrastructure provisioning** (ADLS Gen2, Key Vault, Azure AD).
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks, metadata management, and compliance standards.
- Ability to work in complex, ambiguous environments and foster collaboration across teams.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Databricks Certified Data Analyst or Data Engineer certification.
- Microsoft Certified: **Azure Data Engineer Associate** or **Azure Administrator Associate**.
- Experience with Collibra, Informatica, or similar governance tools.
- Exposure to ML/AI data requirements and operationalization of models.
- Strong business analysis and stakeholder communication skills.
- Prior experience in enterprise-scale data governance or compliance projects.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
