Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing, building, and configuring applications tailored to fulfill specific business process and application needs. This role requires engaging with various stakeholders to understand requirements and translating them into functional software solutions. The position demands continuous collaboration and iterative development to ensure the applications align with organizational goals and enhance operational efficiency. The engineer actively participates in refining processes and adapting applications to evolving business demands, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance throughout the software lifecycle.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements for application development.
- Maintain and enhance existing applications to improve functionality and user experience.
- Document technical specifications and application configurations to support knowledge sharing and future maintenance.
- Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Workday Talent Management.
- Strong understanding of application design principles and software development lifecycle.
- Experience in configuring and customizing enterprise applications to meet business needs.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with integration techniques and data flow between systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Workday Talent Management.
- This position is based at our Gurugram office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
