As a Test Automation Engineer, a typical day involves enhancing the testing framework to ensure seamless and continuous quality assurance throughout the software development lifecycle. This role focuses on integrating advanced quality processes and innovative tools to elevate the accuracy and reliability of testing outcomes. The professional actively contributes to evolving testing strategies that are predictive and intelligent, fostering an environment where testing is not only efficient but also adaptive to emerging technologies and methodologies. Collaboration and proactive problem-solving are key aspects of daily activities, aimed at maintaining high standards of software quality and integrity.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the implementation of innovative testing frameworks to improve automation efficiency.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and skill development within the team to enhance overall performance.
- Monitor and analyze testing metrics to identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Support junior team members by providing guidance and assisting in their professional growth.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Functional Test Planning.
- Strong expertise in designing and executing automated test scripts to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Experience with integrating testing tools and frameworks to streamline continuous testing processes.
- Ability to analyze complex software systems and develop effective test strategies that align with project goals.
- Skilled in identifying and troubleshooting issues within automated test environments to maintain test reliability.
- Familiarity with quality engineering principles and methodologies to drive improvements in testing accuracy and efficiency.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Functional Test Planning.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
