Cloud Platform Engineer
Project Role Description : Designs, builds, tests, and deploys cloud application solutions that integrate cloud and non-cloud infrastructure. Can deploy infrastructure and platform environments, creates a proof of architecture to test architecture viability, security and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement IT infrastructure solutions across Windows, Linux, VMware, HCI, and storage technologies (NetApp, SAN/NAS, vSAN)
Support both project-based and operational engineering activities for on-premises and cloud-hosted environments (e.g., AWS, Azure)
Maintain and update system documentation, architectural design records, and configuration templates
Participate in solution review processes, platform selection analysis, and validation of infrastructure standards
Support fully automated and zero-touch infrastructure initiatives aligned with client s digital transformation goals
Engineer high-availability configurations, system tuning parameters, and performance benchmarks
Collaborate with security and architecture teams to align engineering efforts with compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI, HIPAA, SOX, GDPR)
Conduct infrastructure health checks, firmware/software upgrades, patch planning, and lifecycle support
Participate in proof-of-concept (PoC) evaluations and provide recommendations based on testing and benchmarking
Identify EOL/EOSL systems and contribute to infrastructure refresh and upgrade planning
Engage in business continuity planning, disaster recovery validation, and cyber recovery design support
Ensure alignment with IT service continuity, configuration management, and change governance practices
Required Skills & Experience:
Relevant experience in enterprise Infrastructure Engineering across Compute and Storage domains
Hands-on experience with:
o Windows and Linux server environments
o VMware (vSphere/ESXi), Nutanix, or similar HCI platforms (including vSAN)
o Enterprise storage systems (e.g., NetApp, Dell EMC, SAN/NAS architectures)
o Backup, replication, and data protection strategies
Hands-on experience on automation tools and scripting (Ansible, PowerShell, Python preferred)
Experience with cloud integration (AWS EC2, Azure VMs, hybrid storage) is a plus
Strong understanding of infrastructure documentation standards and lifecycle processes
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance-aligned engineering practices

Network routing & switching
AWS/Azure networking, VPC, VPN, SD-WAN
Firewalls & Security
Network recovery planning and testing
Preferred Certifications:
VMware - VCP
NetApp - NCDA or NCIE
AWS - Certified SysOps Administrator or Solution Architect
ITIL Foundation (v3 or v4)
Nutanix - NCP or equivalent HCI certification
