Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, you will engage in the development of custom software solutions that are designed to meet specific business needs. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to understand requirements, coding and enhancing software components, and utilizing modern frameworks and agile methodologies to ensure the delivery of scalable and high-performing solutions. You will also participate in problem-solving discussions and contribute to the overall success of the projects you are involved in.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME.
- Collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities.
- Mentor junior team members to foster their professional growth.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must Have Skills: Proficiency in Business Requirements Analysis.
- ServiceNow Expertise:
- ITOM (IT Operations Management) – Excellent understanding of discovery, service mapping, and operational workflows.
- ITSM (IT Service Management) – Familiarity with incident and event management, problem, change, and request management processes.
- Service Operations Workspace – Experience in configuring and optimizing these modules for operational efficiency.
- CSDM (Common Service Data Model) – Strong understanding of ServiceNow s CSDM framework for structuring service-related data.
- CMDB (Configuration Management Database) – Experience in maintaining and leveraging CMDB for accurate asset and service relationships.
- (Optional) ServiceNow Virtual Assistant & AI – Experience with VA and an awareness of AI-driven features for predictive analytics and automation.
- Business Analysis & Requirements Management
-Requirements Elicitation: Skilled in engaging stakeholders across international sites and diverse cultures and ability to extract detailed functional and non-functional requirements through workshops, interviews, and documentation reviews.
- Documentation :Produce clear, structured documentation from user requirements suitable for technical leads to develop high level design documents and developers.
- Compliance & Architecture Engagement: Experience working with enterprise architecture teams to ensure alignment with organisational standards and governance frameworks.
- Self-Management & Delivery
- Work Queue Management: Ability to prioritise tasks, manage backlog, and deliver within agreed timelines without constant supervision.
- Customer Engagement:Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage expectations and maintain positive relationships.
- Team Collaboration:DevOps team collaboration, working with developers, testers, product owners and other associated teams for successful work delivery.
- Global Collaboration:Comfortable working across time zones and with virtual teams.
- Mandatory Methodologies & Frameworks
- Agile Methodologies: Practical experience with Scrum and Kanban, providing input into backlog refinement, sprint planning, and iterative delivery.
- ITIL Principles:Solid understanding of ITIL best practices for service management, including incident and event management, problem, and change processes.

- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Business Requirements Analysis.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
