Quality Engineer (Tester)
Project Role Description : Enables full stack solutions through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle. Performs continuous testing for security, API, and regression suite. Creates automation strategy, automated scripts and supports data and environment configuration. Participates in code reviews, monitors, and reports defects to support continuous improvement activities for the end-to-end testing process.

JOB SUMMARY: Seeking a Test / QA Engineer to support data engineering and ETL QA activities across Azure Data Factory and Snowflake. This role focuses on executing test cases, validating data accuracy, and supporting defect identification under the guidance of senior QA and engineering team members. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Data & ETL Testing Support Execute test cases for ETL/ELT pipelines built in Azure Data Factory. Perform data validation in Snowflake including row counts and field-level checks. Validate batch and incremental data loads for completeness and accuracy. Data Vault Validation Support Assist in validating Data Vault structures including Hubs, Links, and Satellites. Support verification of historical tracking and audit fields. Validate downstream outputs under senior QA guidance. Test Case Execution & Defect Support Execute functional, regression, and smoke tests. Log defects with clear SQL evidence and sample data. Retest fixes and confirm resolution. Delivery & Collaboration Collaborate with ETL developers during sprints to validate deliverables. Participate in Agile ceremonies and release readiness. Maintain test execution evidence and QA documentation. Learn and apply QA best practices for data platforms. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NA KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Technical Skills 1–3 years QA/testing experience in data or ETL environments. Basic SQL for data validation. Exposure to Azure Data Factory concepts. Familiarity with Snowflake or similar cloud warehouses. Understanding of data warehousing fundamentals. Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira. Familiarity with Agile delivery. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills Exposure to large dataset validation. Experience with incremental or CDC ingestion patterns. Awareness of Data Vault methodology. Basic scripting (Python or similar). ISTQB Foundation or similar certifications. Soft Skills Strong attention to detail and data accuracy. Willingness to learn and grow in data QA. Clear communication and collaboration. Ability to follow established testing processes. EDUCATION AND TRAINING: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (required).
