Summary: As a Packaged/SaaS Application Engineer, your typical day involves configuring and supporting packaged or Software as a Service applications to adapt features and manage releases effectively. You will ensure system stability while utilizing standard tools, APIs, and low-code platforms to align solutions with business needs, all while maintaining compatibility and performance. Your role will require you to engage with various stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable tasks, ensuring that the applications meet the evolving needs of the organization. We are seeking an experienced JIRA Developer with deep expertise in scripting and API development to design, customize, and integrate JIRA with enterprise systems. The role will focus on extending JIRA capabilities through automation, custom scripts, and REST-based integrations. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions. - Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality. - Develop and maintain custom scripts in JIRA using Groovy (ScriptRunner) to automate workflows, validations, post-functions, and listeners. - Design, develop, and support JIRA REST API integrations with internal and external systems. - Customize JIRA workflows, screens, fields, and permissions to meet business requirements. - Build and maintain automation rules and scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex JIRA performance, scripting, and integration issues. - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable JIRA solutions. - Ensure adherence to security, governance, and change management standards. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Java Enterprise Edition. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with JavaScript, JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), Groovy (Programming Language). - Strong understanding of application configuration and support processes. - Familiarity with low-code platforms and their integration with existing systems. - Experience in managing software releases and ensuring system stability. - Strong hands-on experience as a JIRA Developer / Administrator in enterprise environments. - Proven expertise in Groovy scripting, preferably using ScriptRunner. - Solid experience with JIRA REST APIs and API-based integrations. - Strong understanding of JIRA data model, workflows, schemes, and configurations. - Experience with automation frameworks and custom validations within JIRA. - Ability to debug and optimize scripts for performance and reliability. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Java Enterprise Edition. - This position is based at our Gurugram office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
