Project Role Description : Develop custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. Use modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs.

Summary As an SSIS Architect, you will be responsible for defining, leading, and executing the SSIS strategy, with a strong focus on modernization, remediation, and SQL Server platform governance. You will work closely with application teams, DBAs, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to assess existing SSIS implementations, understand application dependencies and data criticality, and define the most suitable migration or transformation approach. A typical day involves reviewing legacy SSIS architectures, guiding development team and driving roadmap decisions for SSIS upgrades and/or alternative solutions (e.g., Upgrade, Replatform, Refactor, Retire etc.). Roles & Responsibilities 1. Architecture Act as SSIS SME and Architect, owning end-to-end design decisions and solutions Lead SSIS migration initiatives (in-place upgrade, re-architecture, or move away from SSIS) Define target-state architecture, migration patterns, and standards 2. Perform application and package assessment to identify Code dependencies Job scheduling & orchestration Security, credentials, and environment bindings Business criticality and risk Decide the right migration strategy per application (Upgrade, Replatform, Refactor, Retire) 3. Migration & Modernization Lead SSIS version upgrades Evaluate SSIS vs alternative platforms (where applicable) and provide recommendations. Define phased migration plans, cutover strategies, and rollback approaches. Identify technical debt and modernization opportunities. Present architecture, risks, and recommendations to senior stakeholders. 4. SQL Server & Database Administration Strong hands-on involvement in SQL Server architecture and administration. Database schemas and models Capacity planning Backup & recovery High availability & DR considerations Ensure SSIS designs align with SQL Server operational best practices. Professional & Technical Skills Must Have Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Experience in SQL Server Development & Administration. Proven experience in SSIS migration / upgrade programs. Strong capability to analyze legacy application code and data dependencies. Good to Have Skills Experience defining enterprise ETL standards and frameworks. Exposure to cloud or modern data platforms (optional but beneficial). Soft Skills & Leadership Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to lead technical discussions and influence decisions Experience mentoring teams and guiding senior developers
