Project Role Description : Leads a team of quality engineers through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle. Applies business and functional knowledge to develop end-to-end testing strategies through the use of quality processes and methodologies. Applies testing methodologies, principles and processes to define and implement key metrics to manage and assess the testing process including test execution and defect resolution.

Summary: As a Quality Engineering Lead, you will lead a team of quality engineers, guiding them through the complexities of multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality applications. You will develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies, utilizing your expertise to enhance the overall quality across the application lifecycle. By applying established quality processes and methodologies, you will drive continuous improvement and ensure that testing efforts align with business objectives. Your role will also include monitoring key metrics to assess the effectiveness of the testing process, ensuring timely execution and resolution of defects. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME. - Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Java and JavaScript/TypeScript. - Perform manual and automated testing across web, API, and backend systems. - Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test data based on product requirements and technical specifications. - Conduct API testing using Postman and automate API test cases. - Execute performance testing and analyze results to identify bottlenecks and performance issues. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to ensure quality throughout the SDLC. - Track and manage defects using JIRA, ensuring clear documentation and timely resolution. - Participate in code reviews and manage version control using Git. - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and work closely with DevOps for seamless delivery. - Identify test gaps and continuously work to improve test coverage. - Mentor junior QA team members and contribute to QA strategy and best practices - Collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices within the team to enhance overall performance. - Mentor junior team members to foster their professional growth and development. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Automated Testing. - Experienced in manual and automation testing and Proficient in Java and JavaScript/TypeScript. - Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, and Postman and Strong knowledge of API testing (manual and automated). - Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, Defect Life Cycle, and test automation frameworks. - Ability to write clean, efficient, and reusable automation code and Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills. - Strong understanding of various automated testing frameworks and tools. - Experience in developing and executing test plans and test cases. - Ability to analyze test results and provide actionable insights. - Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment practices. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Automated Testing. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
