Summary: As a Custom Software Engineer, you will engage in the development of custom software solutions that involve designing, coding, and enhancing various components across systems or applications. Your typical day will include collaborating with cross-functional teams, utilizing modern frameworks, and applying agile practices to deliver scalable and high-performing solutions that meet specific business requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring that the software solutions are tailored to the unique needs of the organization, contributing to the overall success of projects and initiatives. Roles & Responsibilities: -Infra Design and Deployment: Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure on AWS. - CI or CD Pipeline Management: Build and maintain CI or CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and AWS Code Pipeline. - Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation to automate infra provisioning and management. - Collaboration: Work closely with development and operations teams to optimize application environments and ensure seamless deployment processes. - Container Management: Manage containerized environments using AWS services like ECS, EKS, and Fargate. - Monitoring and Security: Configure and maintain monitoring systems with AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana. Perform security and vulnerability assessments of the cloud infrastructure. - Automation: Automate and streamline operations for platform provisioning, scaling, and monitoring. - Troubleshooting and Improvement: Troubleshoot platform-related issues and drive continuous improvements. - Stakeholder Management: Interact with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate progress, and align platform capabilities with business goals. - Delivery Ownership: Take complete ownership of solution delivery - from requirements gathering to implementation and operational handover. - Develop and maintain backend services using Golang and Java. - Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. - Optimize application performance and scalability. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and Product. - Write clean, maintainable, and testable code. - Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions. - Integrate third-party APIs and services. - Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI or CD pipelines. - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to enhance code quality. Professional & Technical Skills: -Cloud Security and Networking (AWS): Strong knowledge of AWS cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, VPC design and subnetting, security groups, NACLs, encryption (KMS), compliance (CIS, NIST), and services like AWS WAF, GuardDuty, and Security Hub. - Monitoring/Logging Tools: Experience with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, AWS CloudWatch, Cloud Trail or the ELK stack. - Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile DevOps and Scrum methodologies. - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in DevOps. - Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI or CD) pipelines. - Strong understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. - Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
