Summary: We are seeking a skilled Polarion ALM Developer responsible for configuring, customizing, and extending Siemens Polarion to support requirements management, traceability, and lifecycle governance. The role involves implementing workflows, reports, integrations, and custom extensions while collaborating with systems, software, and quality teams to deliver scalable ALM solutions. Roles & Responsibilities: - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Good communication and documentation skills. - Ability to work with cross-functional teams. - Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments. Professional & Technical Skills: - Polarion Configuration & Customization: - Configure Polarion projects, workflows, work item types, and live documents. - Customize Polarion using scripting, APIs, and extensions. - Implement traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and change requests. - Configure user roles, permissions, and access controls. - Reporting & Traceability: - Develop and customize Polarion reports and dashboards. - Implement traceability matrices and impact analysis views. - Support compliance reporting and audit readiness. - Configure baselines and versioning strategies. -Integration & Automation: - Develop integrations between Polarion and external tools (e.g., Teamcenter, DOORS, Jira). - Implement REST API- or OSLC-based integrations. - Automate data synchronization and lifecycle transitions. - Support ALM–PLM traceability initiatives. -Testing, Support & Maintenance: - Perform unit and integration testing of Polarion configurations. - Support UAT, production rollout, and L2/L3 support. -Troubleshoot configuration, performance, and data issues. - Support Polarion upgrades and patching activities. - Collaboration & Documentation: - Work with business analysts and systems engineers to understand requirements. - Prepare technical documentation and user guides. - Support knowledge transfer and end-user training sessions. - Polarion ALM - Strong experience with Siemens Polarion configuration and customization. - Hands-on experience with: - Work item types, workflows, and live documents. - Traceability and baselining. - Reports and dashboards. - Understanding of Polarion security and permission models. - Customization & Integration. - Experience with Polarion APIs, scripting, and extensions. - Knowledge of REST APIs and OSLC. - Experience integrating Polarion with tools like Teamcenter, DOORS, Jira, or similar. - Programming & Tools: - Scripting experience (Groovy, JavaScript, Java). - Basic SQL and database concepts. - Version control tools (Git, SVN). - ALM & Domain Knowledge - Strong understanding of ALM processes: - Requirements management. - Test management. - Defect tracking. - Familiarity with systems engineering and V-model concepts. - Experience in regulated industries is a plus (Automotive, Aerospace, Medical). Additional Information: - The candidate should have 7-9 years of experience in Polarion development or ALM tools. - Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field. - A 15-year full time education is required.
