As a Tableau Developer, you will leverage your expertise in data visualization, dashboards, analytics and BI tools to help our organization transform raw data into actionable insights. Working at the intersection of our AI/ML platforms, data engineering pipelines, and business stakeholders, you’ll design, build, deploy and maintain interactive dashboards and reporting solutions that support strategic decision-making, product performance monitoring, AI/ML delivery metrics, and business growth. In a GenAI-enabled organization, you will also connect visualizations to AI usage metrics, model performance, experimentation analytics, and stakeholder-facing dashboards. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with business stakeholders (Product, AI/ML, Operations, Finance) to gather data and reporting requirements; convert them into technical specifications. Design, develop and maintain intuitive, interactive dashboards, scorecards and data visualizations using Tableau (Desktop, Server/Online) that surface key performance indicators, AI/ML model metrics, product usage, and operational insights. Connect to and integrate multiple data sources (relational databases, data warehouse, data lakes, streaming jobs, ML experiment logs) and ensure data is prepared and modeled correctly for Tableau use. Write efficient SQL (and if needed other query languages) to extract, transform, aggregate and validate data ahead of visualization. Implement best practices in data visualization, dashboard design, and user experience, to make dashboards easy to interpret, actionable and performant. Optimize dashboards for performance (large data volumes, extracts vs live connections, caching, filtering, indexing) and ensure scalability and maintainability. Deploy and manage Tableau content: workbook/data-source publishing, scheduling refreshes, permissions, version control, and migration between development/QA/production environments. Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data accuracy, performance, user-access, and dashboard functionality. Maintain documentation for dashboards, data sources, data definitions (dimensions/measures), business logic, and user guides. Provide training and support to business users and stakeholders on how to use dashboards and interpret metrics; promote data-driven decision-making culture. Stay current with Tableau and BI tool capabilities, and make recommendations for enhancements, automation (e.g., using Tableau Prep, Python/R integration, or embedding analytics) and best practices. Required Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related field. Proven experience (typically 8+ years) as a Tableau Developer or BI Developer working with Tableau dashboards and data visualization in a business environment. Strong proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Online (or equivalent deployment) – building, publishing, scheduling, securing dashboards. Solid SQL skills (extracting, joining, aggregating, manipulating data) and experience working with relational databases / data warehouses. Hands-on experience with data modelling, data preparation, ETL/ELT processes and analytics workflows. Knowledge of data visualization principles and best practices; ability to present data in a clear, compelling manner. Ability to work with large/complex datasets and optimize for performance. Good communication skills: ability to liaise with non-technical business stakeholders and interpret business needs into technical solutions. Self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment.
