Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing, building, and configuring applications tailored to fulfill specific business process needs and application requirements. This role requires engaging with various stakeholders to understand their needs and translating those into functional software solutions. The workday often includes collaborating with team members to refine application features, testing configurations to ensure they meet quality standards, and iterating on designs to optimize performance and usability. Continuous evaluation and enhancement of applications to align with evolving business objectives are also key aspects of the daily routine.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements for application development.
- Ensure the applications developed are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with organizational standards.
- Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth.
- Continuously monitor application performance and implement improvements to enhance user experience.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Workday Extend.
- Strong knowledge of application design principles and software development lifecycle.
- Experience in configuring and customizing enterprise applications to meet business needs.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with integration techniques and data flow management within software systems.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Workday Extend.
- This position is based at our Gurugram office.
