Job Summary: The Resource will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, administration, and maintenance of the SAS Viya 4 environment running on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP). The role involves ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance of the SAS analytical platform in a secure, cloud-native setup. Key Responsibilities: SAS Viya 4 Administration • Deploy, configure, and maintain SAS Viya 4 components in an OpenShift/Kubernetes environment. • Manage SAS identities, security, and authorization across users and groups. • Monitor and optimize SAS services, including CAS (Cloud Analytic Services), Compute Server, and microservices. • Troubleshoot application and system issues, working closely with SAS Support when required. • Manage backup, recovery, and patching of SAS Viya components. • Implement upgrades, hotfixes, and configuration changes following best practices. • Integrate SAS with external systems such as LDAP/AD, databases, and object storage (e.g., S3, Nutanix Objects, etc.). OpenShift (OCP) Administration • Manage and monitor OpenShift clusters hosting SAS Viya 4 workloads. • Handle cluster operations — node management, resource allocation, scaling, and health checks. • Implement and maintain persistent storage, networking, and security policies for SAS workloads. • Automate administrative tasks using Ansible, Helm, or Kubernetes manifests. • Ensure compliance with enterprise security and governance standards. • Collaborate with infrastructure teams for cluster upgrades, performance tuning, and incident management. Monitoring & Optimization • Implement monitoring and alerting for SAS and OCP components using Grafana, Prometheus, or equivalent tools. • Tune system resources (CPU, memory, storage, networking) to improve performance and cost efficiency. • Maintain logs and audit trails for compliance and troubleshooting. Technical Skills Required: Core Skills • SAS Viya 4 Administration (CAS, Compute, Connect, Environment Manager, Microservices, Studio) • OpenShift Administration (OCP CLI, Operators, Projects, Networking, Storage) • Linux Administration (RHEL preferred) • Containerization and Kubernetes concepts • CI/CD pipelines and YAML/Helm-based deployments • Monitoring Tools: Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack • Scripting: Bash / Python / Ansible Additional Desirable Skills • Experience integrating SAS Viya with external databases, object storage, or authentication systems (LDAP/SAML). • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) or hybrid deployments. • Understanding of DevOps and GitOps principles. • Exposure to networking, security, and SSL/TLS certificate management. Soft Skills: • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. • Excellent communication and documentation abilities. • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Kubernetes. - This position is based at our Mumbai office. Work from client office (Mumbai - BKC) for all 05 working days, No WFH. - A 15 years full time education is required. Educational Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech / MCA / M.Sc. (Information Technology / Computer Science) Certifications: • SAS Certified Administrator (SAS Viya 4 / SAS Platform Administration) • Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator (RHCSA / RHCA for OpenShift) or equivalent certification
