, A comprehensive understanding of SAP HANA data modeling concepts is required, including expertise in creating calculation views, attribute views, analytical views, and Core Data Services (CDS). Candidates should have experience with data provisioning, data access security, and proficiency in using SAP HANA Studio to design and develop efficient data models on the SAP HANA platform. Essential Functions: • Translate business requirements into effective data models that support strategic solutions. • Collaborate with Business and Application Development teams to implement data strategies, construct data flows, and develop conceptual data models. • Contribute to the design of data models and structures. • Establish best practices for naming conventions and coding standards to ensure data model consistency. Qualifications: • At least 10 years' experience in SAP Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Business Warehouse within a professional services advisory firm or a publicly traded organization, including a proven record of leading full lifecycle implementations. • Completed at least one end-to-end implementation of SAP HANA 1.0 and 2.0, with hands-on experience in SAP HANA SQL and/or SAP S/4HANA. Key Responsibilities: • Develop technical design documents based on functional specifications. • Create logical data models with associated metadata, employing best practices to maintain high data quality, scalability, and minimized redundancy. • Identify opportunities to reuse data models in new environments. • Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL scripts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of business data objects. • Demonstrate experience in developing complex conceptual and logical data models. • Analyze system integration challenges related to data and propose suitable solutions. • Create HANA objects such as Calculation Views and Stored Procedures per functional requirements. • Architect and design secure, robust BI solutions to deliver enterprise data to analytics and visualization tools, such as Analysis for Office. • Gather and interpret business requirements, create or modify data mappings, prepare data for testing, execute, and validate results. What You Will Bring: • Expertise in SAP HANA Analytics transformation solutions leveraging SAP HANA, ETL tools, and SAP BW applications. • Strong knowledge of data warehousing, data modelling, and database concepts. • Extensive experience in complex data integration, including ingestion and transformation from non-SAP and file-based systems to HANA datastores. • Advanced understanding of databases on the HANA platform and development of sophisticated calculation views. • Proficiency in report development based on SAP HANA modeling/applications and relevant HANA development. • Hands-on experience and knowledge of SAP BW/4HANA, Analysis for Office (AFO), and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) analytics. • Flexibility to provide business-as-usual and production support during off-hours, particularly during quarterly and annual financial closings. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience and understanding of fit-gap analysis for S/4HANA implementations. • Familiarity with advanced analytical tools such as SAP SAC Planning is advantageous. • Experience with SAP Profitability and Performance Management (PAPM) solutions is considered a plus.
