Summary
You will design, configure, and enhance SAP Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) processes while leveraging AI assisted development tools and copilots to accelerate requirement analysis, configuration, testing, documentation, and issue resolution. The role focuses on improving the Procure to Pay (P2P) cycle, invoice processing efficiency, and compliance by integrating pre built AI capabilities—without requiring advanced AI engineering such as RAG, LLM training, or agentic system development.
Key Responsibilities
VIM Functional & Technical Delivery
o Configure and optimize SAP VIM components such as:
o Invoice capture, validation, and DP document processing
o Workflow configuration and approval routing
o Exception handling (price variance, quantity mismatch, blocked invoices)
o Integration with OCR and external capture tools
o Three way matching and auto posting rules
o Use AI copilots to generate configuration notes, functional specifications, user stories, test scripts, and process documentation.
o Support end to end delivery across requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing (SIT/UAT), deployment, and hypercare.
o Integrate VIM with MM, FI, Ariba, OCR platforms, and vendor master governance.
AI Assisted Productivity
o Leverage AI copilots for:
o Requirement summarization and analysis
o Automated test case generation
o Workflow analysis and optimization suggestions
o Faster defect analysis and troubleshooting
o Automated creation of FS/TS/SOPs and knowledge artifacts
o Integrate pre built AI services to enhance VIM processes, such as:
o Intelligent invoice classification
o Predictive exception detection
o Automated variance explanations (AI summarization)
o Smart prioritization of blocked or aged invoices
o Use LLM assisted tools to diagnose common matching and posting issues quickly.
Governance, Compliance & Collaboration
o Ensure adherence to financial controls, audit requirements, P2P governance, and invoice compliance policies.
o Participate in client workshops, solution walkthroughs, parallel testing, and optimization discussions supported by AI generated insights.
o Collaborate across procurement, accounts payable, finance, tax, vendor management, and technical integration teams.
o Contribute reusable templates, workflows, test packs, and AI enabled best practices for VIM delivery.
Required Skills & Experience
SAP VIM Expertise
o Hands on experience with VIM including DP documents, indexing, approvals, business rules, exception handling, and integration with SAP MM/FI.
o Understanding of end to end invoice processing workflows, GR/IR clearing, PO/non PO invoices, and vendor master impacts.
o Familiarity with OCR/capture tools like OpenText, xECM, or similar platforms.
AI Ready Skills
o Experience using AI copilots, automated documentation tools, and AI assisted test generation platforms.
o Ability to embed pre built AI features into invoice processing workflows (not custom AI model development).
o Understanding of responsible AI practices in financial and invoice processing contexts.
General Skills
o Strong analytical skills in P2P processes and invoice lifecycle management.
o Ability to translate AP/business requirements into accurate VIM configuration.
o Excellent communication and cross functional collaboration abilities.
o Continuous learning mindset with openness to AI assisted productivity tools.
Good to Have
o Experience with OpenText VIM Certification or exposure to SAP S/4HANA VIM.
o Knowledge of Ariba, Fieldglass, or third party AP automation tools.
o Experience in tax handling, withholding tax, or international invoice regulations.
o Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (Tricentis, CBTA).

o Deliver faster, more accurate, and more compliant VIM solutions using AI enabled productivity boosters.
o Improve invoice processing efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance vendor payment accuracy.
o Act as a bridge between AP teams, SAP engineering teams, and AI native experts when deeper AI insights are required.
