Summary
You will design, configure, and enhance SAP Configure Price & Quote (CPQ) solutions while leveraging AI assisted development tools and copilots to accelerate requirement analysis, configuration, testing, documentation, and issue resolution. This role focuses on enabling efficient quotation processes, intelligent product configuration, accurate pricing, and seamless sales enablement while integrating pre built AI capabilities to uplift cycle times and decision quality—without requiring deep AI system development.
Key Responsibilities
CPQ Functional & Technical Delivery
Configure and enhance SAP CPQ processes including:
o Product Configuration Rules & Constraints
o Pricing Rules, Discounts, and Surcharges
o Quote Generation and Approval Workflows
o Guided Selling & Product Recommendations
o Integration with CRM, ERP, and eCommerce systems
Use AI copilots to accelerate:
o Rule writing and validation
o Documentation (FS/TS/user stories)
o Test case creation for configurations, pricing, and quoting
o Error detection and impact assessments
Support full lifecycle: requirements, solution design, configuration, SIT/UAT, deployment, and hypercare.
Ensure seamless synchronization with SAP Sales Cloud, ECC/S4 pricing, and master data frameworks.
AI Assisted Productivity
Apply AI copilots for:
o Requirement analysis and summarization
o Pattern detection in pricing or configuration errors
o Automated generation of configuration and pricing test scenarios
o Drafting of knowledge content, SOPs, and training materials
Integrate pre built AI services such as:
o Intelligent product recommendations based on historical quoting patterns
o Automated summarization of complex configurations
o AI assisted quote validation and error flagging
o Automated opportunity scoring or quote prioritization
Use LLM assisted troubleshooting to reduce turnaround time for configuration rule failures or integration issues.
Governance, Quality & Collaboration
Ensure CPQ processes comply with pricing governance, discount controls, audit guidelines, and approval frameworks.
Participate in requirement workshops, configuration reviews, pricing governance meetings, and optimization discussions supported by AI-driven insights.
Collaborate with Sales, Pricing, Product Management, CRM, and ERP teams for end to end solution delivery.
Contribute reusable templates, test packs, pricing guidelines, and AI enabled best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
SAP CPQ Expertise
Hands on experience with CPQ configuration including rules engine, pricing logic, quote workflows, and guided selling.
Understanding of CPQ integration with CRM (SAP Sales Cloud, C4C, or CRM legacy) and ERP pricing conditions.
Familiarity with product models, variant configuration concepts, and approval frameworks.
AI Ready Skills
Experience using AI copilots, automated documentation tools, and AI supported testing accelerators.
Ability to embed pre built AI capabilities into CPQ workflows (not custom LLM/RAG model training).
Understanding of responsible AI usage, especially in pricing and sales decision contexts.
General Professional Skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills related to configuration, pricing, and quoting logic.
Ability to translate sales and product management requirements into accurate CPQ configurations.
Effective communication with business and technical teams.
Continuous learning mindset with comfort adopting AI enabled workflows.
Good to Have
SAP CPQ Certification or experience with SAP Sales Cloud (C4C).
Exposure to Variant Configuration (VC/AVC) in S/4HANA.
Experience with eCommerce or CRM platforms.
Familiarity with automated testing tools or rule simulation frameworks.
Outcome Expectations
Deliver faster, more accurate CPQ solutions using AI assisted productivity tools.
Improve quoting accuracy, cycle time, and sales efficiency.
Act as a bridge between Sales, Product, Pricing, SAP engineering teams, and AI native experts where deeper AI insights are needed.
