Quality Engineering Lead (Test Lead)
Project Role Description : Leads a team of quality engineers through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle. Applies business and functional knowledge to develop end-to-end testing strategies through the use of quality processes and methodologies. Applies testing methodologies, principles and processes to define and implement key metrics to manage and assess the testing process including test execution and defect resolution.

Summary: As a Defect Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end defect management process across multiple project streams. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that defects are accurately logged, prioritized, tracked, and resolved efficiently. Your role will be pivotal in driving quality improvements by identifying recurring issues, enhancing root cause analysis, and implementing preventive measures. You will act as the central point of contact for defect governance, ensuring transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement in the quality assurance lifecycle. Roles & Responsibilities: -Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for defect management processes and tools. -Collaborate with QA, development, and business teams to ensure timely triage and resolution of defects. -Own and manage defect lifecycle governance, from identification to closure. -Facilitate defect triage meetings, ensuring alignment on priorities, ownership, and root cause actions. -Analyze defect trends and provide actionable insights to improve product quality and reduce recurrence. -Define and track key quality metrics, including defect density, leakage, and resolution turnaround time. -Partner with multiple teams to influence quality decisions and improve end-to-end testing efficiency. -Provide training and guidance to teams on best practices for defect reporting, categorization, and impact assessment. -Continuously evaluate and refine defect management tools and processes to ensure optimal performance. Professional & Technical Skills: Must Have Skills: -Proven expertise in Salesforce Testing, Data Testing & Defect Management process . -Deep understanding of defect management workflows and QA methodologies. -Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM, Azure DevOps). -Strong analytical skills to identify defect patterns and drive preventive measures. -Familiarity with Agile and DevOps environments. Good to Have: -Experience with automation testing frameworks. -Experience in life sciences projects -Exposure to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes. -Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Additional Information: -Minimum 12 years of experience in Salesforce Testing , Quality Assurance and Defect Management. -This role is based in Bengaluru, Hyderabad & Pune. -15 years of full-time education required.
