Summary: As an Application Support Engineer, you will be engaged in the maintenance and support of applications for Investech operations at Wellington. Your typical day will involve troubleshooting various issues, monitoring system performance, and ensuring that data integration with other applications is seamless. You will also be responsible for managing client custom data and file delivery, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. Core Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain complex reports using Jaspersoft Studio. - Lead the deployment and configuration of Jasper reports across environments. - Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Optimize report performance and ensure scalability for large datasets. - Provide L2/L3 support for Jasper and OBIEE reports across asset classes and geographies. - Maintain documentation for report logic, data sources, and deployment processes. Technical Skills: - Strong expertise in Jasper BI, PL/SQL, and PostgreSQL. - Proficiency in Java, Spring, Hibernate, and AngularJS is a plus. - Experience with Unix shell scripting, Python, and AWS services. - Familiarity with version control tools like Git. - Understanding of incident, problem, and change management processes. Domain Knowledge: - Experience in financial services, especially in benchmark reporting (e.g., S&P 500, DOW Jones). - Exposure to regulatory compliance frameworks such as ASIC, EMIR, and ESG. Professional Attributes: - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and customer service orientation. - Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams. - Experience in client coordination, production support, and requirement analysis. Preferred Certifications: - AWS Practitioner/Associate level certification. - Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM or similar credentials
