Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Security Operations Engineer to join our IT security team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and enhancing the security of client network infrastructure. You will play a key role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical systems by identifying vulnerabilities, mitigating threats, and enforcing security policies. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and manage network security tools and infrastructure (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, proxies, WAF). - Respond to security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures. - Analyze network traffic and logs to detect and respond to anomalous behavior or threats. - Implement and enforce network security policies, procedures, and best practices. - Perform vulnerability scans and remediate findings in collaboration with other IT teams. - Maintain and update security device configurations and rule sets. - Work with SIEM platforms to correlate logs and generate actionable alerts. - Support audits, compliance activities, and documentation of network security operations. - Participate in threat intelligence and risk assessment activities. - Provide input into the design of secure network architectures and participate in projects involving secure system integration. - May require occasional after-hours support or on-call availability. - Collaborative team environment with cross-functional engagement. Professionals and Technical Skills - 8+ years of experience in network security or a related field. - Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, NAC). - Experience with enterprise security platforms (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Check Point, etc.). - Familiarity with SIEM systems (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm) and log analysis techniques. - Understanding of common attack vectors and defense mechanisms. - Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. - Excellent communication and documentation skills - Firewall - Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Fortigate, WAF, - Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, CCNP Security). - Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, HIPAA) . Additional Information - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field; or equivalent experience. - Accenture or client office in Mumbai - 15 years full time education is required.
