, Position Summary The IT Infrastructure Architect will design, implement, and optimize enterprise-level solutions across Operating Systems, Databases, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and Middleware platforms. The role requires deep technical expertise, strategic planning, and leadership to ensure high availability, scalability, performance, and security for mission-critical systems in both on-premises and cloud environments. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Create architecture blueprints, standards, and best practices for OS, database, middleware, and SRE domains. • Design secure, resilient, and scalable solutions for on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. • Integrate infrastructure components with enterprise applications and security frameworks. • Oversee architecture and lifecycle management for Linux, UNIX, and Windows Server platforms. • Define and manage OS patching, upgrades, and security hardening. • Design high-availability and DR strategies for Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL. • Optimize database performance and capacity planning. • Automate provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance. • Architect and oversee platforms like WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Apache, Tomcat, Nginx. • Manage middleware performance tuning and integration with monitoring tools. • Implement SRE principles to improve system reliability, observability, and automation. • Define SLIs, SLOs, SLAs for critical infrastructure components. • Automate incident response and CI/CD pipelines. • Ensure infrastructure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory standards. • Implement data protection, encryption, and access controls. • Mentor and lead OS, DBA, SRE, and middleware teams. • Collaborate with cloud, network, and security architects. • Manage vendor relationships and technology evaluations. ________________________________________ Required Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred). • 10 + years’ experience in infrastructure design & management. • Expertise in: o OS: Linux, UNIX, Windows Server. o Databases: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL. o Middleware: WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Apache, Tomcat, Nginx. o SRE Practices: CI/CD, monitoring, incident management, automation. • Proficiency in automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, Bash). • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid architectures. • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications • Certifications: AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, Oracle Certified Professional, RHCE, VMware VCP, ITIL, TOGAF. • DevOps/SRE tool experience: Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK. • Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
