Summary: You will lead and manage end-to-end performance testing engagements across web, mobile, APIs, and enterprise applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define non-functional requirements (NFRs), design performance test strategies, and ensure system scalability and reliability. Your role will also involve mentoring team members, drive performance engineering best practices, and contributing to internal accelerators and frameworks. Roles & Responsibilities: • Expected to be an SME in performance testing and engineering. • Collaborate and manage the performance testing team to deliver high-quality outcomes. • Responsible for team decisions and technical reviews. • Engage with multiple teams and contribute to key performance-related decisions. • Provide solutions to performance issues across application, infrastructure, and database layers. • Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather NFRs and align stakeholders. • Mentor junior team members and promote performance engineering best practices. • Lead performance testing engagements including strategy, planning, scripting, execution, and analysis. • Design and implement performance test scenarios for load, stress, soak, and scalability testing. • Guide the team in using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, NeoLoad, etc. • Drive root cause analysis using APM tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, Grafana, and Splunk. • Provide detailed performance reports and tuning recommendations. • Manage stakeholder communication, timelines, and resource planning. • Contribute to internal accelerators, frameworks, and reusable assets for performance testing. • Stay updated with emerging trends and tools in performance testing and observability. Professional & Technical Skills: • Must Have Skills: Expertise in performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad) and APM tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics). • Strong understanding of performance engineering principles and non-functional testing. • Experience in designing and executing performance test strategies across various platforms. • Familiarity with cloud-native performance testing tools (e.g., k6, Taurus, Artillery). • Exposure to chaos engineering, synthetic monitoring, and real-user monitoring is a plus. • Ability to benchmark cloud platforms and infrastructure performance. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on scalability and reliability. Additional Information: • The candidate should have a minimum of 7.5 years of experience in performance testing. • A 15 year full-time education is required. • Certifications in performance testing or APM tools are preferred.
