, Job Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic data team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, optimize data architectures, and enable actionable insights through data integration and modeling. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to deliver high-quality data solutions that support business objectives. Key Responsibilities: 1. Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and efficient ETL/ELT pipelines. Ensure the timely ingestion, transformation, and processing of large datasets from various sources. 2. Data Architecture: Develop and optimize data architectures to support analytical and operational use cases. Implement best practices for data storage, organization, and retrieval using cloud-based or on-premises technologies. 3. Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements. Partner with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to ensure data availability and quality. 4. Performance Optimization: Optimize query performance and system scalability for large-scale datasets. Monitor and troubleshoot issues in data pipelines and workflows to ensure reliability. 5. Data Quality & Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies, including security, compliance, and privacy standards. Implement data validation and monitoring processes to ensure accuracy and consistency. 6. Leadership: Mentor junior data engineers and promote knowledge sharing within the team. Lead initiatives to evaluate and implement new data engineering tools and technologies. Qualifications: Technical Skills: • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java. • Expertise in SQL and experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra). • Experience with big data frameworks such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka. • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, and their data services (e.g., Redshift, Trino, Snowflake). • Strong understanding of data modeling, schema design, and data warehouse concepts. Experience: • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or a related field. • Demonstrated experience in building and optimizing data pipelines and architectures. • Background in managing large-scale, complex datasets in production environments. Soft Skills: • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Preferred Qualifications: • Familiarity with tools like Airflow, dbt, or similar orchestration and transformation tools. • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Superset). • Experience in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines for data systems. • Exposure to machine learning pipelines and MLOps workflows. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Engineering. - This position is based at our Hyderabad office. - A 15 years full-time education is required.
