Summary: We are seeking an experienced Polarion ALM Architect to design and lead enterprise-scale Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) solutions integrated with PLM and systems engineering platforms. The role focuses on Polarion architecture, migration and coexistence with IBM DOORS, integration with IBM Rhapsody for model-based systems engineering (MBSE), and end-to-end digital thread integration with Teamcenter. The architect will define standards, governance, and scalable integration patterns across engineering domains. Roles & Responsibilities: - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Good communication and documentation skills. - Ability to work with cross-functional teams. - Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments. Professional & Technical Skills: - Architecture & Solution Design: - Define end-to-end ALM architecture using Siemens Polarion. - Design scalable integrations between: - Polarion and IBM DOORS (migration, coexistence, traceability) - Polarion and IBM Rhapsody (MBSE integration) - Polarion and Teamcenter (ALM–PLM digital thread) - Define information models, traceability frameworks, and data governance. - Create logical, physical, and integration architecture diagrams. - ALM–PLM–MBSE Integration. - Architect bidirectional traceability between requirements, system models, and product structures. - Design requirement synchronization and lifecycle alignment across Polarion, DOORS, and Teamcenter. - Enable change impact analysis across ALM, MBSE, and PLM domains. - Support digital thread and digital twin initiatives. - Migration & Modernization: - Lead DOORS to Polarion migration strategies and execution. - Define data mapping, validation, and coexistence approaches. - Ensure minimal business disruption during migration phases. - Establish best practices for Polarion adoption and scaling. - Technical Leadership & Governance: - Act as technical authority for Polarion implementations. - Prepare and present architecture documents to technical and non-technical audiences. - Review and approve architecture designs, configurations, and integrations. - Ensure compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards. - Mentor Polarion administrators and configuration engineers. - Stakeholder & Delivery Management (Added Value): - Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. - Support presales activities, solution estimation, and technical proposals. - Provide technical leadership during UAT, deployment, and production support. - Professional & Technical Skills - Polarion ALM Architecture - Deep expertise in Siemens Polarion architecture and configuration. - Strong experience with Polarion workflows, live documents, traceability, and reporting. - Experience designing Polarion extensions and APIs. - Knowledge of Polarion security, permissions, and performance tuning. - DOORS & Requirements Management: - Extensive experience with IBM DOORS (classic or Next). - Proven experience leading DOORS to Polarion migrations. - Strong understanding of requirements lifecycle and governance. - Experience with large-scale requirement repositories. - MBSE & Modeling Tools: - Experience integrating IBM Rhapsody with ALM tools. - Strong understanding of SysML and MBSE concepts. - Ability to design traceability between models, requirements, and PLM artifacts. - Teamcenter Integration: - Experience integrating Polarion with Siemens Teamcenter. - Knowledge of PLM–ALM data models and change management. - Understanding of BOM, change objects, and configuration management. - Experience enabling requirement-to-product traceability. - Integration & Technology: - Experience with REST APIs, web services, and event-based integrations. - Knowledge of OSLC is a strong advantage. - Experience with scripting (Groovy, Java, JavaScript, or Python). - Database and reporting knowledge (SQL). - Domain & Business Knowledge: - Knowledge of functional safety and compliance standards: - ISO 26262, DO-178C, ASPICE, IEC 61508 (preferred) - Experience in High-tech, Battery Lifecycle management domains is a plus - Understanding of digital thread and digital twin concepts. Additional Information: - The candidate should have 8–12 years of PLM experience, including solution architecture roles. - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field. - A 15-year full time education is required.
