Summary: As a Software Development Engineer, you will analyze, design, code, and test multiple components of application code across one or more clients. You will also perform maintenance, enhancements, and/or development work. Your typical day will involve analyzing requirements, designing software solutions, writing code, and conducting testing to ensure the quality of the application. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business needs. - Design and develop software solutions based on client requirements. - Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code. - Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure the quality of the software. - Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. - Participate in agile development processes and ceremonies. - Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends. - Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software defects and issues. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and practices. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Utilities Customer Care & Billing SPL. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with Java, SQL, and web development frameworks. - Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices. - Experience in analyzing, designing, coding, and testing software components. - Knowledge of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum. - Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git or SVN. - Ability to troubleshoot and debug software defects effectively. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Good communication and collaboration abilities. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Experience with software development tools, such as IDEs and debuggers. - Knowledge of software testing techniques and tools. - Understanding of database concepts and SQL queries. - Experience with web technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle Utilities Customer Care & Billing SPL. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A Btech degree is required.
