What would you do? Job Summary We are seeking a detail oriented and tech savvy paralegal or junior counsel to support global data privacy operations. The role includes project coordination, mailbox monitoring, process excellence initiatives (including identifying AI and automation opportunities), knowledge management, and administrative support (including subscription and invoices management). The candidate must have a basic/working understanding of data privacy principles, general legal judgment, and the ability to quickly learn tools, processes, and workflows. Familiarity with AI concepts—including generative AI—is preferred.
What are we looking for? Knowledge and Skill Requirements • Hold a bachelor’s degree; a law degree is preferred. • 3–4 years of experience supporting compliance programs, specifically in data privacy. • Experience supporting global or cross-functional teams (ideally in legal, compliance, risk). • Technology-savvy mindset with the ability to quickly learn new tools and processes. • Working understanding of regulatory principles governing data privacy at a global level; IAPP certifications (such as CIPM) or similar are a plus. • Fluent in English, with strong oral and written communication skills, and competent in delivering presentations. • Strong time-management, prioritization, and analytical skills; ability to develop process flows and metrics. • Effectively manage stakeholder relationships, including senior leadership. • Proficient in conducting legal research, including leveraging GenAI technology. • Exercise sound judgment in applying company policies and procedures for risk mitigation, and escalate issues to the line manager when needed. • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and accountability. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; proficiency in PowerBI is a plus.
Roles and Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities • Serve as tier 1 support for data privacy queries, ensuring timely monitoring, triage, and routing of requests in line with regulatory and internal deadlines. • Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to support accurate and compliant responses and maintain audit ready documentation. • Support the identification and implementation of AI driven automation opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance process efficiency, and design scalable solutions. • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather process requirements and advise on process improvement approaches. Provide end to end project coordination for global data privacy programs, including preparing project dashboards, delivering leadership updates, and maintaining structured documentation. • Manage and maintain privacy knowledge platforms through accurate content curation, timely updates, and operational support that enables effective knowledge sharing and governance. • Manage subscriptions and licenses for the global data privacy team. • Monitor legal developments, news, and global regulatory changes in data privacy, and prepare internal materials and communications. • Develop a strong understanding of CORE (Compliance, Operations, Regulatory & Ethics) areas, building credibility and effective relationships within the Legal team.
