What would you do? The Document Controller is responsible for managing and maintaining all controlled documentation for mining projects and operations. This role ensures that all project records, drawings, reports, and technical documentation are accurately processed, organized, and distributed according to company, client, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have solid experience using various Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) such as InEight, Aconex, SharePoint, or similar platforms Manages the full lifecycle of large-scale infrastructure and capital assets, from strategic planning and engineering to construction, operations, and compliance Investment project management and control capabilities related to grid assets to enable the energy transition (e.g. transmission interconnections).
What are we looking for? •Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Engineering, or a related field. • Experience: o Experience in document control, preferably within mining, construction, or engineering industries. o Hands-on experience with multiple EDMS tools such as InEight, Aconex, SharePoint, TeamBinder, ProjectWise, or similar. o Strong understanding of document numbering, revision control, and metadata structures. o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams). o Knowledge of ISO 9001 and records management best practices Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. o Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with diverse project teams. o Ability to handle high volumes of documentation and meet tight deadlines.
Roles and Responsibilities: Establish, implement, and maintain document control procedures for mining projects in compliance with company and industry standards. • Manage the receipt, review, registration, and distribution of project documentation, including drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence. • Maintain version control and ensure document integrity and traceability across all systems. • Upload, track, and manage documentation through EDMS platforms (e.g., InEight, Aconex, SharePoint, TeamBinder, ProjectWise, Documentum, or equivalent systems). • Maintain a centralized document register and ensure all stakeholders have access to the latest approved revisions. • Coordinate document reviews and approvals with internal teams, contractors, and clients to meet project deadlines. • Conduct quality checks to ensure documents comply with metadata standards, formatting, and naming conventions. • Archive project documentation in accordance with company records management policies. • Provide training, guidance, and support to project teams on document control procedures and EDMS use. • Generate reports and dashboards on document status, outstanding reviews, and compliance metrics. • Support audits, compliance checks, and information handover processes at project completion.
