What would you do? The Planning and Promotions Lead is responsible for developing and executing high-impact promotional strategies that drive customer engagement, increase sales, and enhance brand visibility. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market trends, customer insights, and promotional mechanics. The Lead will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including marketing, sales, product, and operations—to design and execute promotional initiatives that align with business objectives.
What are we looking for? •Technical Skills: Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms (e.g., CRM systems, campaign management software, Google Analytics, Tableau, or Power BI). Strong knowledge of digital marketing channels, promotional strategies, and customer engagement techniques. Expertise in sales enablement tools and conversion rate optimization. Core Competencies: Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop long-term promotional plans that align with business goals. Project Management: Strong ability to handle multiple campaigns, ensuring timely and effective execution. Analytical & Data-Driven Mindset: Skilled in interpreting data and leveraging insights to optimize promotional strategies. Creativity & Innovation: Ability to develop unique, engaging promotions that drive customer interest and business impact. Collaboration & Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Agility & Problem-Solving: Adaptable to fast-paced environments and capable of troubleshooting challenges in campaign execution. Experience: 6-8 years of experience in promotions, campaign management, or marketing strategy roles. Proven track record in developing and executing successful promotional campaigns that drive business growth. Experience managing large-scale promotions within retail, e-commerce, or multinational organizations is preferred. Strong background in working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product teams. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA) or additional certifications in digital marketing, project management (PMP), or CRM tools is a plus.
Roles and Responsibilities: •1. Promotional Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement innovative, data-driven promotional strategies to drive sales and customer retention. Create and maintain a comprehensive promotional calendar aligned with business and marketing goals. Identify opportunities for strategic promotions based on consumer behavior, competitive landscape, and industry trends. 2. Campaign Development & Management: Lead the end-to-end execution of promotional campaigns, ensuring seamless implementation across digital and offline channels. Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to develop compelling promotional materials and messaging. Work with digital, CRM, and media teams to optimize promotions across customer touchpoints, including website, email, social media, and in-store experiences. 3. Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure campaign success and analyze ROI. Utilize analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI) to track performance, generate insights, and optimize future campaigns. Continuously refine promotional strategies based on data-driven insights, customer feedback, and business priorities. 4. Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage the promotional budget, ensuring cost efficiency and maximum return on investment. Coordinate with finance teams to track promotional expenses and align spending with business objectives. 5. Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor strategies. Leverage insights to identify new promotional opportunities and ensure differentiation in the marketplace. 6. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Act as the central point of contact for all promotional initiatives, ensuring alignment across departments. Work closely with sales, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth execution and delivery of promotional campaigns. Present strategic recommendations, campaign results, and insights to senior leadership.
