SAP Basis Technical Architect
The Work:
We are looking for a seasoned SAP Senior Basis and Technical Architect to lead the design, deployment, and support of scalable, high-performing SAP technical landscapes. This role requires hands-on expertise across on-premise and cloud environments (particularly Azure) and a strong understanding of SAP architecture best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of SAP landscapes across S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, and BTP.
Deliver high-availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
Manage system installations, upgrades, OS/DB migrations, S/4HANA conversions, and performance tuning.
Ensure robust security, compliance, and governance across SAP and Microsoft environments.
Collaborate on Azure/cloud based infrastructure, SAP sizing, and enterprise landscape design.
Guide and support Basis teams during build and production support phases.
Drive technical strategy aligned with business transformation and innovation.
IDM knowledge would be an addition
Must-Have Skills:
10–15 years of SAP Basis/Technical Architecture experience.
Proven experience in 10+ full lifecycle SAP implementations.
Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA administration, and SAP upgrades/migrations.
Deep knowledge of SAP Cloud Architectures and SAP on Azure (IaaS/PaaS) along with other cloud based technologies.
Experience with Fiori, OData, and SAP integration tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Azure Architecture, including hybrid cloud integration.
Understanding of Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance as it relates to enterprise environments.
Solid background in performance tuning, backup/recovery, and system refreshes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
SAP S/4HANA Technical Architecture certification or Azure certifications preferred.
Familiarity with SAP automation, DevOps practices, and AI tooling is a plus.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on global team collaboration.
