Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves leading the design, development, and configuration of software applications. This role requires taking ownership of projects and serving as the main liaison for all application-related activities. The position demands close collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure that solutions meet business needs while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. The engineer actively manages the lifecycle of software components, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance throughout the development process.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing applications to enhance functionality and user experience.
- Support junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on best practices.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in IBM Sterling Commerce.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with A&D Aftermarket.
- Strong understanding of application design principles and software development lifecycle.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Experience in configuring and customizing packaged software solutions.
- Familiarity with integration techniques and middleware technologies related to IBM Sterling Commerce.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in IBM Sterling Commerce.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
