Mid-Market Sales Account Executive – Cyber Security Practice (UK | Spain | Italy)

WHO WE ARE:

Accenture is a leading global professional services company that helps the world’s leading businesses, governments and other organizations build their digital core, optimize their operations, accelerate revenue growth and enhance citizen services. We are a talent and innovation-led company with approximately 750,000 people serving clients in more than 120 countries. Technology is at the core of change today, and we are one of the world’s leaders in helping drive that change with strong ecosystem partnerships and a deep commitment to delivering outcomes that matter.

Accenture has embarked on one of its most ambitious initiatives — creating a new client segment focused on the Mid-Market (MM) for Cyber Security. This team targets clients with revenues in the range of $300M to $7Bn, spanning two sub-segments: deepening relationships with existing Accenture clients and aggressively pursuing new logos in the market. We are currently hiring for this role across three key markets: the United Kingdom, Spain, and Italy. This is a completely new, high-growth team supported by the full breadth of Accenture’s global capabilities — operating in the fastest-growing segment of the Cyber industry. With thousands of targets to pursue and the ability to offer end-to-end cyber security capabilities that only Accenture can provide, this team works hand-in-hand with Subject Matter Experts, Industry Experts, and Client Group Leads from the Cyber Security practice to win and deliver at scale.

THE WORK:

As a Mid-Market Sales Account Executive, you will drive the end-to-end sales process for high-value, complex cyber security engagements — from needs analysis through deal closure. You will understand client requirements; present select solutions and negotiate deal terms and agreements. You will collaborate closely with Mid-Market Sales Engineering during solution demonstrations requiring advanced technical solutioning and ensure a smooth transition to Mid-Market Account Success Management for client onboarding upon sales closure.

You will bring deep expertise in cyber security sales with the executive presence to engage CISOs, CIOs, COOs and Board-level stakeholders, and the commercial acumen to navigate complex, multi-tower deal structures. This is a role for a proven sales leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is as excited about building a new practice as they are about closing transformational deals.

  • Own and Exceed Revenue Targets: Take full accountability for achieving and exceeding quarterly and annual revenue and ACV targets. Build, manage, and accurately forecast a high-value pipeline of new logo acquisition and account expansion opportunities across the mid-market cyber security segment.

  • Lead Consultative, End-to-End Sales Cycles: Drive the full sales motion across complex, multi-tower cyber security engagements — from initial needs analysis and solution positioning through commercial negotiation and contract closure — with a consistent focus on client outcomes and measurable business value.

  • Engage and Influence at the Executive Level: Build and sustain trusted relationships with CISOs, CIOs, COOs, and Board-level stakeholders — serving as a credible cyber security advisor who understands both the technical landscape and the business imperatives driving security investment decisions.

  • Position Accenture’s Full Cyber Security Portfolio: Leverage working knowledge of the cyber services that matter most to mid-market clients — including SOC/MDR, Identity & Access Management, Network Security, Zero Trust, Cloud Security, and regulatory compliance — to position the right Accenture capabilities with credibility and commercial precision.

  • Navigate Complex Deal Structures: Lead commercial negotiations for multi-tower cyber security engagements with confidence — structuring deals that balance client value with commercial integrity and leveraging a deep understanding of mid-market procurement dynamics and contract requirements.

  • Orchestrate Cross-Functional Deal Teams: Collaborate closely with Mid-Market Sales Engineering during advanced technical solutioning and demonstrations, and coordinate SMEs, Industry Experts, and Client Group Leads from the Cyber Security practice to bring the right expertise to every stage of the sales cycle.

  • Ensure a Seamless Sales-to-Delivery Transition: Drive a structured and well-managed handover to Mid-Market Account Success Management upon deal closure — ensuring client expectations are precisely aligned with the onboarding and delivery plan and laying the foundation for long-term account growth.

With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

  • Be at the forefront of one of Accenture’s most ambitious new growth initiatives — shaping the go-to-market approach for cyber security in the mid-market segment from the ground up.

  • Access the full depth of Accenture’s global cyber security capabilities — including SMEs, Industry Experts, and a world-class delivery network — to win deals that no other firm can match.

  • Work in the fastest-growing segment of the Cyber industry — with thousands of targets, strong internal support, and a genuinely differentiated value proposition to take to market.

  • Accenture will continually invest in your development — including cyber security knowledge, enterprise sales capability, and commercial expertise — to keep you at the cutting edge of the industry.

  • Build a clear pathway toward senior leadership, Managing Director, or Practice Leadership roles within a high-growth, high-visibility business group.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Fluency in the local market language is required: English (UK), Spanish (Spain), or Italian (Italy). Full professional fluency in English is essential for all roles regardless of market, given the global nature of Accenture’s teams and clients.

  • 8+ years in cyber security sales, origination, or business development — with a proven record of closing complex, multi-tower deals and selling into the mid-market segment ($500M–$7Bn revenue).

  • Working knowledge of the cyber services that matter most to mid-market clients: SOC/MDR, Identity & Access Management, Network Security, Zero Trust, Cloud Security, and regulatory compliance frameworks.

  • Strong executive presence with demonstrable experience engaging CISO, CIO, COO, and Board-level stakeholders — leading consultative sales cycles and contract negotiations with confidence and credibility.

  • Proven track record of owning and exceeding revenue and ACV targets, building a high-value pipeline, and collaborating effectively across local and global Accenture teams to close complex deals.

  • Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional deal teams — including Sales Engineering, SMEs, Delivery, and Partner functions — across the full sales lifecycle, ensuring seamless, high-quality client experience from first conversation to contract signature.

  • Established presence and market experience in one of the three target geographies — United Kingdom, Spain, or Italy — including a strong understanding of local mid-market buying behaviours, procurement dynamics, regulatory environment (e.g. NIS2, DORA, UK Cyber Essentials), and business culture.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years of work experience; 6 years if Associate’s degree).

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

  • 1–2 years of dedicated experience in the small/medium enterprise segment — with a strong understanding of the unique buying behaviors, risk profiles, and cyber security priorities of mid-market clients.

  • Familiarity with AI-driven security solutions and the ability to articulate the business value of AI-augmented cyber capabilities to mid-market executives, as well as experience in ecosystem and partner-led selling motions.

  • Industry certification such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent — demonstrating a solid foundation in cyber security principles and a commitment to professional development in the field.
