Summary:
In the role of Packaged or Software as a Service Application Engineering Lead, a typical day involves taking ownership of the design and continuous improvement of packaged or cloud-based solutions. This includes managing the configuration settings, overseeing system integrations, and coordinating software releases. The role requires setting and maintaining platform standards to guarantee system stability and optimal performance while ensuring alignment with both business requirements and vendor limitations. The position demands proactive engagement with evolving technologies and collaboration across various teams to drive solution excellence and operational efficiency.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the development and implementation of best practices to enhance solution delivery and quality.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and skill development.
- The ideal Murex Reporting and DataMart Developer should need to understand Murex platform setup at the client and the report delivery process.
- Focus on Murex Datamart/Reporting architecture and development
- Technical Analysis of changes, effort estimation, solution design, development and unit testing
- Work with QA team to ensure timely defect remediation and proper test coverage
- End to end ownership of tasks in cooperation with Business Analysts and Testing team.
- Drive solution design discussions with wider team and mentor/train more junior members of the team
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Murex Datamart Reporting.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with Murex Connectivity 2.0.
- Strong knowledge of packaged application architecture and SaaS deployment models.
- Experience in managing software configuration, integration, and release processes.
- Ability to establish and enforce platform standards for performance and stability.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues within enterprise environments.
- In-depth understanding of MX reporting architecture, MX data model, and MX Datamart configuration
- Exhaustive knowledge of Datamart objects - dynamic tables, feeders, batch of feeders, scanner templates, extractions etc.
- Murex Technical experience and a background of working on Financial Products.
- Experience in Analyzing DataMart setups and table structures for identifying redundant objects, to minimize execution time of batches
- Experience on Datamart or Accounting or Integration/Back Office
- Experience working with distributed team and Agile environment
- Good experience on EOD batches, CTRL-M or Autosys scheduling tools
- Advanced Knowledge of SQL & shell scripting
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Murex Datamart Reporting.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
