The Contracting Specialist / Manager (Mandarin) is responsible for leading procurement contracting activities within the Source-to-Contract (S2C) lifecycle. The role applies strong contracting expertise, analytical skills, and sound business judgment to support the drafting, negotiation, and execution of procurement agreements.

This position works closely with sourcing, legal, and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality contracts, ensure compliance with governance standards and playbooks, and support efficient contracting operations in a dynamic, global environment.

Mandarin language capability is preferred to support communication with suppliers and stakeholders in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage contracting activities across procurement agreements within the Source-to-Contract (S2C) lifecycle, ensuring compliance with established templates, governance frameworks, and playbooks.

  • Review, draft, redline, and negotiate legal and commercial contract terms with suppliers, ensuring agreements are accurate, compliant, and aligned with sourcing strategies.

  • Negotiate commercial terms in coordination with sourcing teams and ensure that negotiated terms are properly reflected in the final contract language.

  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-functional teams, providing guidance on contract interpretation, governance standards, and risk considerations.

  • Prepare and maintain contract documentation, track contract status, and communicate progress, risks, and compliance matters to relevant stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with Legal, Procurement, Sourcing, and Contracting COE teams to resolve escalations and ensure alignment with contracting policies and procedures.

  • Manage multiple concurrent contracting workstreams in a dynamic and matrixed environment while maintaining quality and operational efficiency.

  • Support the continuous improvement of contracting processes, templates, governance models, and playbooks.

  • Leverage enterprise-approved AI and digital contracting tools to support clause review, redlining, contract analysis, summarization, and reporting.

  • Where applicable, provide guidance and share best practices with junior team members to support team capability development.

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience in contract management, commercial contracting, procurement contracting, or legal/paralegal roles.

  • Proven ability to review, draft, redline, and negotiate commercial and legal contract terms.

  • Experience working with contracting templates, governance frameworks, compliance standards, and contracting playbooks.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk-assessment capabilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple contracting projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Advanced English written and spoken.

  • Minimum required education: High School Diploma.

  • Mandarin written and spoken.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting categories such as Marketing Services, Agency Agreements, Technology, SaaS, Software Licensing, IT Services, or complex commercial agreements.

  • Experience working in global, matrixed organizations.

  • Exposure to AI-enabled contracting tools, contract analytics, or automation platforms.

  • Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to balance operational execution with strategic contracting advisory.
