Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behavior, and ensuring the smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous monitoring, collaboration with different teams, and delivering timely solutions to maintain system reliability and performance in a dynamic work environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of support activities with business needs.
- Mentor junior team members to enhance their technical and problem-solving skills.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize support processes and system stability.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in OpenText Documentum.
- Strong knowledge of content management systems and enterprise document management solutions.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex application issues within large-scale environments.
- Ability to analyze system logs, identify root causes, and implement effective fixes.
- Familiarity with integration of Documentum with other enterprise applications and middleware.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on maintaining high system availability and performance.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in OpenText Documentum.
- This position is based at our Mumbai office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
