The role
As a Senior Infrastructure Migration Expert, you will lead large-scale cloud migration programmes for enterprise clients, orchestrating the transition of complex workloads from legacy or on-premises environments to cloud-native platforms. You will own the migration strategy end to end — from discovery through to hypercare — managing risks, go/no-go decisions, and multi-stakeholder escalations. You will be the go-to reference for our clients' IT leadership on cloud migration, and will actively contribute to the development of migration assets, tooling, and practice capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end cloud migration programmes: discovery, assessment, planning, execution, and hypercare.
- Define and own comprehensive migration strategies covering lift-and-shift, replatforming, and refactoring. Ensure alignment with client objectives, application dependencies, technical and business constraints, project timelines and inter-dependencies…
- Define migration waves, sequencing, and cutover plans for complex, multi-platforms environments.
- Architect the target-state infrastructure and oversee IaC provisioning across multi-cloud environments.
- Define workloads and applications migration approaches: Data schema evolution, dual-write strategies, data replication and integrity validation.
- Coordinate offshore/onshore project delivery teams, ensuring readiness at each stage and following up on progress and blockers.
- Manage migration risk, go/no-go decisions, and stakeholder escalations.
- Drive Post-migration activities, Hyper-Care period and transition of operations to RUN teams, including implementation of backup, observability, OS patching, privileged access, documentation updates…
- Drive rightsizing, cost optimisation, and FinOps practices on migrated infrastructure.
- Collaborate with client on decommissioning of legacy infrastructure and reduction of technical debt.
- Mentor junior migration engineers, develop reusable migration patterns, and contribute to knowledge repositories.
- Engage with client CxOs and programme sponsors to communicate progress, risk, and value delivered.
- Contribute to migration tooling, automation frameworks, and practice capability development.
