Job Description
We all know that data is hot and that companies need to use the right data to come to the right insights. But… where does this data initially come from? How did it make its way into SAP the system correctly?
As a Data Migration Manager, you will support your clients on their SAP journeys in ensuring their data is migrated from their legacy systems into their new systems correctly and completely. Your goal is to make sure the client can start working with these new systems, processes and their peripherals without questioning the data.
Your Job
You are responsible for the end-to-end data migration efforts for SAP project cycles. This means helping the client to define the data migration roadmap, working with the client data lead to define data collection, cleansing and data validation activities. You will be managing the Data Migration team responsible for identifying, extracting, cleaning, mapping, loading both the master data sets & transactional data sets from multiple sources into the various SAP systems, via repeatable extraction, cleansing, transformation and loading processes.
In addition to our client work, you are key member of our Belgian SAP Practice, recently granted the SAP Belux service partner Excellence award. This means you will be part of the SAP management team but also closely collaborating with the global SAP experts, Data & AI experts and large team of skilled developers.
Within that network you and your team will be challenged to showcase your expertise and innovation at our clients, you will also be responsible for growing our Data migration domain and broadening the knowledge to remain market relevant.
Responsibilities (to review)
Business Development
You can leverage your expertise to drive data migration roadmaps as part of the overall SAP journey of the client.
Support client on data migration planning, strategy, and execution and definition of the data migration road map.
Advise client on data quality assessment processes and procedures.
Develop and manage Data Migration Team’s workplans and ensure alignment of various Mock cycles into overall project timelines, landscapes, testing cycles and cutover rehearsals.
Client Delivery
Clients are at the heart of our story. You will help them by managing the SAP migration efforts on challenging projects. As per our methodologies you will be monitoring and managing various project deliverables withing your data workstream.
Manage data cleansing and collection reporting with Data Migration Team.
Manage data cleansing and collection efforts with business teams.
Manage ETL design with Data Migration Team and assess data load tools for various data objects, identify gaps and drive potential development of load programs via a custom ABAP program or various SAP tools such as LSMW, LTMC Migration Cockpit, ALE, etc prior to data load timing.
Manage the development and testing activities for the data migration tools for (S/4 HANA) SAP implementations.
Management and coordination of actual data loads into a load plan and ensure alignment with overall cutover planning.
Ensure alignment with functional teams to troubleshoot data errors and/or inconsistencies in the design and correct errors.
Manage a domain
As a vital member of the domain, you will be at the forefront of improving Data Migration ways of working within our organization. You drive the team to keep their skills market relevant through knowledge sharing, brownbag sessions etc. You will keep your ear to the ground in terms of recent technologies and methodologies becoming available in the data migration aread.

Technical Proficiency
At a minimum data conversion experience in all major domains, Material, Customer, Vendor Master Data migrations, preferrable also in Manufacturing and Finance data
Strong understanding of Data Migration Methodologies including profiling, cleansing, collection, transformation, loading and validation activities
Experience in various data migration tools applicable to SAP data migrations suchs as Syniti, BODS, MDG, MDM, etc.
Conceptual understanding of SAP Finance, SAP SD, SAP MM, SAP LE, SAP SCM, SAP MDM, SAP PS, SAP PM, Business Partners, Data Governance and Master Data Management
Extensively versed in MS Excel, Power Query, Power Pivot, Power BI, MS Project, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint and other MS Office products for data Analysis, Project Schedules, Business process modelling, Requirement/issues documentation etc.
Education and Experience
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, Data Analytics or related fields, additional Master's degree highly preferred.
5-10 years’ experience in IT and business consulting in SAP projects,
At least 5 years of experience in SAP Data Migration, Data Analysis and Modelling
Experience in Project Planning, Cutover Planning, gathering functional requirements, creating functional specifications
Minimum 4 cycles of SAP project implementation experience
3 years’ experience as a Data Lead managing a team to deliver end-to-end data migration solutions
Extensive exposure to the major SAP domains (MM, PP, SD, FICO, QM)
At least 1 year experience in project management.
Fluency in Dutch and English.
Experience in a Global Delivery Model.
Proven capability in building relationships with middle and senior management at clients.
