What would you do? Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Telecommunications Responsibilities · Owns early-stage sales activities (0–20% of the sales lifecycle) including pipeline generation, lead qualification, and appointment setting. · Executes high-volume outbound prospecting through cold calling, email, and digital outreach to both existing and net-new customers. · Handles inbound marketing leads and qualifies interest using BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline) or similar qualification frameworks. · Conducts structured discovery and qualification calls to identify customer pain points, buying intent, and solution fit. · Engages operational, business, financial decision-makers, and executive stakeholders across industries. · Schedules qualified meetings and hands off well-documented opportunities to closing sales roles (e.g., Inside Sales Account Reps, Account Executives). · Maintains accurate CRM records including activity tracking, qualification notes, and opportunity details. · Executes against daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs including outreaches, connections, and qualified opportunities created. · Supports sales and marketing campaigns to drive pipeline coverage and territory penetration. · Follows defined sales processes, messaging frameworks, and compliance guidelines.
What are we looking for? Basic Qualifications · Minimum of 5-7 year of sales experience in a high-volume inbound and/or outbound environment. · Prior experience with outbound cold calling, email prospecting, and objection handling. · Demonstrated ability to meet activity-based KPIs and performance targets. · Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) to track activity and manage leads. · Strong communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with business customers. Preferred Qualifications · Experience in B2B sales, particularly within technology or telecommunications environments. · Exposure to the telecommunications industry, including core connectivity solutions (wireless, wireline, networking). · Familiarity with advanced technology or telecom solutions such as security, cloud, managed services, or SD-WAN. · Experience qualifying opportunities using structured methodologies (BANT, SPIN, MEDDIC, or similar). · Bachelor’s degree. · Experience using prospecting and sales enablement tools (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Outreach). · Interest in developing a long-term career in sales through structured training, coaching, and certification programs. · Ability to thrive in fast-paced, KPI-driven sales environments.
