Performance Executive
Accenture Song | Media | Sydney
Purpose of the Role
The Performance Executive is an entry-level role for someone with circa 1-2 years’ experience who is building their biddable media craft and brings a hunger and enthusiasm for AI and technology.
Working closely with a Performance Manager and the wider team, you’ll support the day-to-day implementation and in-flight optimisation of campaigns across the channels where our clients run their performance strategy, most often Search and Social.
The role includes accurate campaign set-up, QA and trafficking, budget pacing support, platform reporting and capturing learnings to improve performance over time.
We’re looking for someone with foundational experience across biddable platforms who is comfortable working with data and eager to develop their knowledge of measurement, analytics and audience design.
Critically, this role will evolve alongside the changing media landscape. You’ll increasingly work alongside AI agents and AI-enabled tools across the media process. At Accenture Song, we’ll support this through ongoing learning and development, helping you follow best-practice processes, use new tools responsibly and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and day-to-day management of biddable media campaigns across relevant channels and platforms, primarily Search and Social, under the guidance of a Performance Manager.
- Assist in using AI agents and tools across parts of the media process, including QA checks, reporting inputs and audience or keyword research, following established guidance and controls.
- Build campaigns accurately in platform, including set-up, trafficking, tagging inputs, creative checks and naming conventions, in line with best-practice guidelines and established processes.
- Support in-flight optimisation by completing checks and recommended changes across bids, budgets, audiences, keywords and creative rotation, documenting what changed and why.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including creative, analytics and account teams to support timely delivery of campaign inputs and outputs.
- Maintain accurate weekly and monthly reporting and dashboards, highlighting performance shifts, anomalies and opportunities for improvement for review with your manager.
- Build your understanding of tracking and measurement, including pixels, CAPI, SDK/app measurement and tagging, while supporting basic checks and escalating issues where appropriate.
- Support WIPs and QBRs by preparing extracts, charts and campaign summaries, contributing observations and building confidence presenting sections over time.
- Contribute to team ways of working by sharing learnings, documenting steps and supporting smoother delivery through checklists, templates and QA routines.
- Assist with partner and vendor interactions, including specifications, troubleshooting and learning sessions, while staying across platform updates to support campaign quality and innovation.
What You’ll Bring
- 1-2 years of experience in biddable media, including paid search and/or paid social, within an agency or in-house environment.
- Hands-on familiarity with major platforms such as Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager. Exposure to TikTok or LinkedIn is a bonus.
- Foundational analytical capability and confidence working with numbers, spreadsheets and performance metrics.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with support from your manager.
- An interest in testing and measurement, with a desire to learn about experiment design, incrementality and platform measurement approaches.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative working style, with confidence asking questions and escalating risks early.
- Exposure to media finance processes such as pacing, POs, invoicing and reconciliation, or a willingness to learn.
- Confidence navigating advertising platforms, spreadsheets and presentation tools, with the ability to follow established processes and QA your work.
- Curiosity and a growth mindset, with motivation to build your technical capability and use AI-enabled tools responsibly.
Preferred Skills
- Early knowledge of traditional and direct digital media buying practices.
- An understanding of industry best practices and emerging trends in media buying.
- An interest in technology and AI, which will be an important part of the Accenture Song Media proposition.
