Key Responsibilities

As a Workday Financials Functional Associate Manager, you will lead functional and commercial workstreams across Workday Financials engagements. You will be accountable for strong client relationships, sound team decisions, effective risk and investment management, and high-quality financial, business and stakeholder outcomes.

• Lead client workshops to gather requirements, advise on best practices and support key business process decisions.
• Own Workday Financials functional design, configuration, prototyping and solution validation.
• Manage workstream delivery, including plans, risks, issues, dependencies, governance reporting and deployment.
• Build trusted client and internal stakeholder relationships and communicate clear recommendations.
• Guide, coach and coordinate functional consultants and module leads to deliver quality outcomes.
• Apply Workday Implementation Methodology and maintain relevant Workday certifications and product knowledge.
• Support testing, data, integrations, change and deployment activities, as well as proposals, demonstrations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications

• Hands-on Workday Financials or comparable cloud ERP implementation experience, including solution design and configuration.
• Workday Financials Management – Account and Assets capabilities
• Advanced proficiency in financial accounting, including a strong understanding of end-to-end financial processes, controls, reporting and performance management.
• Demonstrated experience in commercial finance, financial strategy, investment management, risk mitigation and delivering measurable business value.
• Experience leading a functional or commercial workstream through design, build, testing and deployment.
• Strong analytical capability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends and opportunities, and translate insights into clear recommendations.
• Ability to make team-level decisions, solve complex cross-functional problems, manage competing priorities and drive outcomes through collaboration.
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, workshop leadership and written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging senior client stakeholders.

Additional preferred attributes:

• Current Workday Financials certification(s).
• Typically, 4+ years of relevant Workday Financials, commercial finance or enterprise finance transformation experience, including implementation delivery experience.
• Experience delivering at least one end-to-end Workday Financials implementation, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Advanced proficiency in commercial management, contract management, cost accounting, finance strategy and sales pursuit management.
• CA, CPA or equivalent finance qualification.
• Experience managing client commercial relationships, investments, financial risks, contractual obligations and accountability mechanisms.
• Experience coaching team members, leading financial management training, reviewing functional deliverables and supporting project governance.
• Ability and willingness to travel as required by client and project needs.

Mandatory Requirements

Candidate must be an Australian Citizen with current or ability to gain Baseline Security Clearance
